Activision and Infinity Ward have moved the European release date for the Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack on the PS3 forward.

The map pack will now be released in Europe on the same day as in North America - April 24th. Last week we were told that the pack was going to be released over the PlayStation Network on May 1st in Europe.

That's not all, either. Robert Bowling, the director of communications/community manager for Infinity Ward tells us, "Additionally, since they won’t be coming out on two different days anymore all the Double XP / Play with the Devs goodness will be on the same day. Enjoy Double XP all weekend for both continents from 12:01 AM GMT on Friday, April 25 to 11:59 PM PDT on Sunday, April 27. We are also making Friday, April, 25 a 'Play with the Devs' day. The Infinity Ward team will be playing online on Friday, April 25 from 11AM to 2PM PDT and from 5 PM to 8 PM PDT."
