Confirmed: PlayStation 3 GTA IV Bundle
Price and date revealed

23 Apr 2008
Sony has confirmed that it will release an official Grand Theft Auto IV PlayStation 3 bundle.
The bundle will be released on April 29th to coincide with the release of the game. On opening the box (that has a GTA IV picture printed on it) gamers will find one 40GB PlayStation 3, one Sixaxis controller and, of course, one copy of GTA IV. The bundle comes with a recommended retail price of £319.99. So, basically, you're getting a copy of GTA IV for £20, since the standard pack without a game costs £299.99.
The pack was rumoured earlier in the month when listings surfaced on retailers' websites. David Reeves, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's president, obviously knew we were expecting it, because all he bothered to say on the subject was, “We are delighted to offer the millions of PS3 and GTA fans the ultimate gaming package”.
SPOnG couldn't help but notice that there's no rumble included in the bundle. We tried our luck with Sony to find out when we might see it over here, but were met with, "We have yet to announce a release date for DualShock3 in the UK."

Will you make your mind up? :-) Either "better" is subjective in this case or it's not.
The relative merit of a game is certainly subjective, I bet there are even people who liked Jericho. Well, maybe not, but you get my point.
If we want to try to be as objective as possible, then, for example, MetaCritic's aggregated scores for the PS3 and 360 show library averages of 71.24% for the PS3 and 68.70% for the 360. For comparison, the Wii's library has an average rating of 61.62%.
Sure the 360 has 91 games with scores on 80% or above and the PS3 only has 48, but as a percentage of the library total, that's 24% to the 360 and 31% to the PS3.
Note: I only used MetaCritic's scores where 5 or more reviews had been aggregated. Hopefully this slightly mitigates fanboyism in the reviews themselves.
As objectively as we can approach these things, the 360 has a larger, but lower average quality library of games than the PS3.
Of course, that in no way means that everybody has to buy a PS3 and ditch the 360, there are loads of great games on the 360, tastes vary and so may your mileage.
What it does mean is that saying the 360 has a better library of games than the PS3 is stating opinion as fact. The same holds true for the reverse of course.
Once again, we come to a very subjective area. I personally don't like the 360 controler's shape, you love it. We've had this discussion before and agreed to disagree (I think).
The fact that Sony are bettering their controller by adding back rumble in no way precludes the possibility that the Sixaxis is better than the 360 pad to start with.
The fact that the Sixaxis has no rumble could be countered by the fact that the 360 pad has no motion sensing. Once again, it comes down to a subjective analysis of which feature is "better", balanced by the preference for controller shape, the fact that the Sixaxis is rechargeable by default, but you have to buy a recharge pack for the 360 controller, etc, etc, etc. Subjective.
Once again stating either as better is stating opinion as fact.
I didn't present my %age scale of facts as opinion versus actual facts to be the definitive representation of a fanboy. I very much like your definition, but I think it also needs to include the rabid approach to arguments, dismissal of facts and repetition of closely-held memes to "prove" a point.
All I was trying to point out was that you were stating opinions as facts for 2/3rds of your rebuttal which lessened the impact of the insult you applied to the anon poster by calling him/her a fanboy.
Like I said, fighting fire with fire doesn't work often, try using water. :-)

Sorry, I'm gonna have to stand by my assertion that the 360 has the best lineup of games at the moment. Its not just larger, its better. But I will concede that this one could be seen as subjective...however, it isn't really...if someone has to have the best lineup of games then its gotta be the 360, subjective it may be, you can't justify nominating either of the other consoles.

As for the controller, once again, better...the proof being the current PS3 controllers imminent demise, were the DualShock current, I'd concede this one as subjective as well, but it isn't, so I don't.

As for your attempted definition of fanboyism as the expressing of opinions as facts, I'd refer you back to my proposed definition...its somewhere in the archives...a fanboy takes all this personally and gets emotionally involved in it to the exclusion of rationality.
