PlayStation 3: Little Big Planet Officially Re-Dated

Sony has put a date to LittleBigPlanet. Unfortunately, it won't be coming quite as soon as we were led to believe.

Speaking at PlayStation Day 2008 down in that London yesterday, Sony Computer Entertainment's CEO and president, Kaz Hirai, said, "(The) ability to interact with a game has changed the dynamic dramatically and opened up a whole raft of opportunities. Take LittleBigPlanet for example, which is coming out in October this year".

Yup, October.

SPOnG was told not so long ago by a Sony rep, "LittleBigPlanet is currently tracking a September release date". SPOnG's not going to hold the fact that we're going to be waiting a little longer than that against the rep, however - suitably slippery PR speak was used. We won't say that we're not a little disappointed, however.

Still, since 'October' is coming from the big boss guy, we're sure that Sony and developer, Media Molecule, are going to stick by it. Right, guys?
