It reports David Bush, the head of marketing Sony's "electronics business" (he's actually 'Director of Marketing, Sony Europe') as saying, "We are trialling technology which allows fans to watch highlights and access game statistics on PlayStation Portable devices during games."
We have contacted Sony to find out exactly how this technology will deliver the stats - other than via the long-promised, 'Go!Video/TV' technology.
Back in August last year president of SCEE, David Reeves told us that Sony would be teaming up with Champions League broadcaster, BSkyB, (we love that capitalisation),"to offer PSP owners access to the best in cross-genre Sky content, available through the first official video download service."
He was supported by James Murdoch (then the CEO of BSkyB) who said, "Together, we’re (Sony and BSkyB) ideally placed to make portable, on-demand TV a reality."
Let's hope it helps Sony recoup some of the £20 million it paid this year to sponsor the European competition that sometimes features teams who were actually champions of their respective leagues in the final.

SPOnG's Tips for the real big game results:
Championship Play Off-Final: Hull City versus Bristol City = Hull City by loads. Ashton Gate is full of shit.
League 1 Play-Off Final: Leeds United versus Doncaster Rovers = Leeds by 1.
League 2 Play-Off Final: Rochdale versus Stockport County = Stockport County on penalties.

Would have been cool to have it on the PS3 as well imo.

Nice idea. I prefer a fat widescreen tv, at my friends place.
Will you DLing goal footage, like you can on your phone, or just streaming from a live feed?
Interesting stuff.
