Atari's next-gen zombie, New York action adventure, Alone in the Dark grows closer to release into the wild - and new screens have made their way out of the miasma to prove it.

The screens we have here illustrate navigation (via GPS no less), a bit of self-healing (which, from what we've seen you're going to need) as well as a variety of inventory options. You can also see one of the core game elements, which is the combining of found objects to construct many and varied ways of, to put it bluntly, saving your sorry skin by destroying the lurking and rushing evil creatures.

Frankly, we can't wait to see the whole thing in finished HD wonderfulness.
