Alone in the Dark: Good as Gold
Atari has said that development on Alone in the Dark is now finished for most platforms and the game is on track for its planned June release - the PS3, however, is still in development.

So, following the game being pushed back from May it looks like as of June 20th Xbox 360, Wii, PS2 and PC gamers will be able to get their mitts on Atari's much-anticipated title.

The PS3 version is taking a little extra time and has been postponed to Autumn to allow for a spot of extra polish.

The Xbox 360, PC and PS3 versions of Alone in the Dark have been/are being developed by Eden Studios, which has predominantly worked on racing titles in the past. The PS2 and Wii versions were developed by Hydravision Entertainment, which developed Obscure and its sequel.

Phil Harrison, the newly-appointed president of Infogrames (who recently declared and then un-declared the death of big budget single-player gaming at Atari) seems pretty chuffed about the whole thing. “With its genre-busting mix of gameplay, wide-screen presentation style and DVD chapter select feature putting the player in control, Alone in the Dark will thrill all gamers”, he said. “It’s a game which will challenge the player but also reward them with a one-of-a-kind video game experience and a huge amount of fun.”

looking forward to this game, although the combat in previews looks very bad with the contact and realism, but i can forgive that for a good survival horror game and i have been waiting for a decnet AITD game for so so long, in fatc ever since the impossibly hard first one.
