PSP dev kits ready for return
Ready at Dawn, the developer behind God of War: Chains of Olympus, has quit PSP development.
The company tells us as much on its website, with a post that reads, "With Chains of Olympus going Gold in Japan, we’re now officially done with PSP development.
"So today we sent all our devkits back and seeing all these boxes [pictured] ready to be picked up definitely marks the end of an era here at Ready At Dawn."
End of an era? If so, it was short one. The company was founded in 2003 by former Naughty Dog and Blizzard staff, and has just two games to its name - both on PSP; Daxter and the aforementioned Chains of Olympus (reviewed here).
The company's recent work on the Wii version of Okami may well have something to do with the decision. The message on the company's website ends with the words, "Can’t wait to show you guys what we have in store..."
