Rumour: Metal Gear Solid Heading to Xbox Live
MGS XBLA: Does 1400 into 350 go?

The rumour comes via Ripten, which claims that MGS was spotted by a contact on PartnerNet, the developers-only network used to beta test downloadable 360 games.
Should the rumour prove true, it won't be that surprising in terms of platform politics. While PlayStation is the traditional home of the Metal Gear franchise, it has made its way onto several other platforms, including the Xbox with MGS2 and 3.
Of course, it's highly questionable that MGS could fit within the 350MB size now allowed for Xbox Live Arcade games. The PlayStation original came on two CDs. With each disc capable of holding up to 700MB, either Microsoft would have to make a special concession on the file size, or something approaching magic would have to be used to squeeze the game found on those already-compressed PlayStation CDs.
For now, best take this with a very liberal amount of mineral seasoning...

There was only a Metal Gear Solid 2 on the Xbox not a 3.

I'd consider downloading these for 360, however I'd rather Konami got to work on MGS for DS. That's the console that needs these games more.

Right on Joji!
Id rather buy it for my PS3 then 360 cause then I can transfer it over to my PSP.
Now a DS version with the traditional set camera angles and radars would be awesome!

I very much doubt we will ever see a MGS game ever again, MGS 2 on the original Xbox was probably a one off.
