Held at the London Metropolitan University's The Rocket Complex on Holloway Road down in 'that London' on the weekend of 28th and 29th July, the event will also feature Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.
The event is actually in place to discover four players to represent the UK in the Evo 2008 Championship (8th-10th August in LA). So, you can enter for that as for £10 on top of the £10 entry fee but you'll have to be quite good at:
Hyper Street Fighter II on PS2 or Tekken 5 - Dark Resurrection on PS3 or Capcom vs SNK 2 on PS2 or Street Fighter 3: Third Strike on PS2.
Source: Capcom
Event Details: Battle of Destiny

Why do you have to be good at the Streetfighter games on PS2? Considering they were out on the arcades originally then like Mega Drive and also the original Xbox.

agreed, but its a dying breed gone are the days of popping 20p`s into a slot to get my ass handed back to me by a hugh and very very loud unit that i could never understand at the time how the reflection thing worked on.
at least i didnt lose as much as those fruit machine kids that hang around next to punters who had money advising them on hwo to hold and nudge or case being dont hold when you get two red 7`s and one red 7 1 above after a nudge!
also SS4 i believe SF2 ha no right ever going on Mega Drive it was pure adn simple a SNES Game!!! the 3 buttons just didnt do it right.
