Xbox 360 DRM Tool Nerfed to 12 Months
No movies either.
Posted 27 Jun 2008

The Content License Transfer or Digital Rights Management (DRM) tool for the Xbox 360 announced last month is now ready to go.
On its FAQ (well, the one aimed at UK users - the US version differs) we are told:
"Q: I have two (or more) consoles at home, can I use this process to transfer my content licenses back and forth between the two consoles?
A: No. The process can only be performed once every 12 months."
The US version also points out:
"Q: Why can I use the tool only once per twelve months?
A: The tool is intended to allow consumers to consolidate their licenses they purchased on multiple consoles to a primary console. It is not intended to continually move content between multiple consoles."
Still, at least the tool is (a) on time and (b) actually useful. One further thing to note is that licenses are associated with console not hard drive.

If anyone out there DOES have two consoles, perform this on the one you're going to want to use offline...content can still be accessed on the other console, as long as you're online and signed in with he appropriate LIVE! account.
