Square Enix has launched a countdown website that looks very much like it's for a DS iteration of Chrono Trigger, which was first released in 1995 on the SNES.

How so? Well, first we have Nintendo DS branding, so there's no doubt that whatever game the site is for, the game will be for Nintendo's handheld. Then we have a great big picture of a clock ticking away. Then we have the end of the url: 'ctds'. Proof enough for you?

The original game is something of a Square classic. It was a top-down RPG that featured a group of young time travellers mucking about throughout history to prevent global catastrophe. You can find out more on SPOnG's dedicated game page.
