Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Screen Downpour

Activision beats the E3 rush

8 Jul 2008

Activision, which distributes LucasArts titles in the UK, seems to have the right idea about dealing with E3 (which starts on July 14th). Rather than see all its screens get swallowed up in the hurricane of pixels that is the world's former biggest games show, it has released this deluge of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed screens early. Granted, not as early as it planned, given that the screens arrived via snail mail this morning and were embargoed for yesterday, but early nonetheless.

Mark SPOnG was about to tell the other denizens of the SPOnG Underwater Castle that he watched Episode IV again on four bedsheets taped together and stuck on the side of a house the other night and found it strangely lacking. Then Gavin SPOnG gave him a forceful look and told him that he'd actually really enjoyed it and he suddenly remembered that he really enjoyed it. Mark SPOnG now has the sneaking suspicion that the Jedi purge with which Force Unleashed deals may not have been such a bad thing...

You can see some cinematic screens below, but be sure to check out SPOnG's platform-specific game pages for fresh images from each of the different versions of the game.

How many times is it when a highly anticipate game displays screens and very short videos and then when the actual game comes out BAM! Looks terrible...However I have yet to be dissapointed by a highly anticipated Star Wars game...

Any ideas when this game is out?
