The Charts: Wii Fit Gets in a Brawl
Nintendo proves its self-improvement title has stamina

15 Jul 2008
Nintendo has managed to knock itself from the top of the Charts. Replenished stock has bumped Wii Fit all the way up from Number 7 to Number 1, with the title getting a 60% sales boost. Alas, that means that Smash Bros. Brawl has been knocked down a couple of pegs from the top spot.
Smash Bros lands at Number 3, following a 37% slide in sales. That puts it behind LucasArts' LEGO Indiana Jones, which has clambered up a spot to Number 2 - but only just crept past Smash Bros by 167 sales.
2K Sports' Top Spin 3 manages a 7% jump in sales, even with Wimbledon done and dusted. That puts it at Number 4, up from Number 6.
That leaves EA's Battlefield: Bad Company at Number 5, down from Number 2. Similarly, THQ's Big Beach Sports has slipped from Number 4 to Number 6 and SEGA's Beijing 2008 has slid from Number 5 to Number 8.

This week's big climbers are Activision’s Kung Fu Panda, up from Number 16 to Number 9 (thanks to the release of the film) and 2K Play's Carnival: Funfair Games, up from Number 23 to Number 15 thanks to hardware bundling.
New entries into the Top 40 this week are Wall-E from THQ at Number 16 (in its second week) and Ubisoft's Wii-exclusive Sports Party at Number 29.
Next week look for Guitar Hero: On Tour and Wii and PS2 appearances from The Incredible Hulk.
