Ignition Entertainment has confirmed that Metal Slug 7 will indeed be coming to Europe.

The game will be released on the DS this Autumn, just in time for your Christmas jollies. It marks the first time the Metal Slug series will appear on the DS.

We previously knew that the game was heading to the US, but it remained unconfirmed for Europe.

The game features classic side-scrolling shootiness with an art style that warms our cockles with its old school feel. You can find out more on SPOnG's dedicated game page.

One tasty morsel in the announcement tells us, "Oh, and there is the introduction of the biggest and baddest Slug vehicle to date..."
