The songs Purple Haze (a live version, recorded in 1969 at the San Diego Sports Arena) and The Wind Cries Mary will feature of part of the disc set list. Activision says that more "exclusive" content will follow in downloadable form.
Additionally, Activision has secured the rights for Jimi's likeness and is putting him into the game as a playable character. This marks the first time Jimi has appeared in a music game. Two points to Activision in the Pretend-to-Play Music Wars.
SPOnG's Top 10 Jimi Hendrix tracks for inclusion in Guitar Hero World Tour (we were going for a Top 5, but arguments ensued) goes as follows: Power of Soul, Crosstown Traffic, Voodoo Chile, All Along the Watchtower, Spanish Castle Magic, Castles Made of Sand, Little Wing, Star Spangled Banner, Are Yo Experienced, Foxy Lady.

Guitar Hero has inspired young kids [who otherwise would not have any interest in music] to learn instruments. It also brings attention to music of various genres that many young kids would not be exposed to normally... especially since there is sooo much music out there these days.
randomDude... you just seem like one of those musicians who can't play Guitar Hero well and talk crap about it using the excuse that you should learn real guitar. I agree people should learn real guitar, but this is another way for people to enjoy music incorporating technology.
The thing I do not understand is why do so many musicians overlook the fact Guitar Hero motivates kids to pick up a real guitar (or other instruments) and learn em. Guitar sales have been up since the Guitar Hero craze has started. Look that up or go to your local guitar store if you do not believe me
