Rock Band 2: A Month Long of Xbox 360 Exclusive?

Dates appear

Posted by Staff
If several of Americashire's most prominent retailers are to be believed, the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band 2 will be exclusive for just a smidge over a month. Release dates have cropped up for the game, showing that the PS3 version will be turning up hot on the heels of its 360 counterpart, with the Wii and PS2 versions not far behind.

If the retailers are to be believed the 360 version will be out on September 14th, the PS3 version will turn up on October 19th and the PS2 and Wii versions will be available from November 23rd.

While SPOnG's natural inclination is to be sceptical of release dates shown by retailers before publishers have made their announcements, these dates have shown up on the sites of EB Games, GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon. That's a lot of support for the dates. That said, they are all Sundays, with games traditionally being released on Tuesdays in the States.

Much was made of Rock Band 2's timed exclusivity to the 360 when it was announced, but if it turns out to only be for a month it's not really much to write home about, is it?

Not like over here, where Rock Band's been out on the 360 since May and we still don't have a date for the PS3 version...

Why even support a dead console that plays blu-ray movies? I say leave the gaming to the true gaming consoles that is the 360 and Wii.

Did I mention that I am in an unreasonably bad mood?

This means that even my patience is strained in such a way that would make 1,000,000 tea-drinking monkeys demand its services.

We know you like the Xbox 360. I like the Xbox 360. We know you do not like the PlayStation 3. I like the PlayStation 3.

You are more than welcome to post funny, clever, incisive, even down-right daft or incorrect postings. What's bugging me personally is the repetitive, unamusing, repetitive, tedious, repetitive, boring, repetitive, predictable, repetitive, repetitive postings that you're appearing to revel in.

Please stop. Or at least in future just post: SS4 Response #1. Where Response #1 is "the PS4 like totally blows and the 360 so totally rools".

Regards

Tim

Tim - HERE HERE!

SuperSaiyan4 - It makes you look about 8yrs old making stupid comments like that. Do you actually research the subjects you attempt to comment on! Or do you just put your fingers in your ears and go "NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH".... You could always replace sticking your fingers in your ears with turning your Xbox on

I laughed the XB360 off. I'm too afraid to buy one, in case it turns me into a Microsoft fanboy.

I can easily put up a PS3 and 360 side by side on the same screen and prove how the 360 is the better system for gaming. The thing is the 360 does prove to be an overall better set system for its many features beit software mainly that clearly shows that Microsoft has the right idea. Sony went down the all hardware route and look where it got them they then have to back track soo much so that they couldnt even offer BC in their new system.

Microsoft does have a much bigger hand in this gen and they are showing it with their amazing announcements with stuff that WILL be released this year.

You're analysing it with regards to your own preferences. I probably don't even like the same games that you like.

But, by the way - you can't compare two consoles side-by-side on the same screen.

The other thing is, why would I want to play XBox games on an XBox 360? They're sh*t.
