Warner Bros' Dark Knight Video Game Snow Job
Media giant admits to game

To be precise, SPOnG was told by a Warner Bros representative with a representative of DC Comics included in the exchange, "There has not been a game for The Dark Knight announced." This, of course, is what is known in the trade as 'plausible deniability'. It can be read as: "Even though the game exists, there has been not announcement regarding it" or "The fact that there is no announcement means that there is no game."
Frankly, we call it 'a Snow Job'.
Gary Oldman, who plays Lieutenant (soon to be 'Commissioner') Gordon, has said that he's seen such game†. EA, which published Batman Begins, holds a contract for a Batman game¥, making it look very much like it will be putting out a tie-in. Pandemic, one of EA's recently-bought studios, is reportedly working on the game. Furthermore, Pandemic was bought from Elevation Partners, which formerly held the rights to a game tie-in of the film. But still no-one will admit to the game's existence!
SPOnG should point out that, while even Warner Bros is saying no Dark Knight game has been announced, Glu Mobile has already released a mobile game of the film, even if it hasn't been enough to stop it recording losses in the millions. So it's not like there's nothing out there for the millions of fans of the film...

The Batman Begins game was a by-the-numbers tie-in. Make it better this time around please, EA.

I can't actually remember a good Batman game since Batman Returns on SNES.
I think the main problem with these licenses now is sticking too close to the films. It sucks all the surprise out of them.
EA, we'll be watching you closely, especially after the awful Catwoman game, based on the equally if not more so awful film.
