Alison Carroll is both a golf club receptionist and an gymnast. She's 23, she's not at the Olympics. She is being hailed by the world's press as 'the new Lara Croft'.

She's not going to replace Mrs Pitt by actually appearing in a film and she wasn't mo-capped for Underworld. Nope, Alison - bless her boots - is the new sales candy for the forthcoming Tomb Rader game.

It seems like sales is tougher than we thought. According to the press release regurgitated by The Daily Telegraph, "To prepare for her new job, she will be given SAS survival training, a weapons training course in eastern Europe and a crash course in archaeology (Lara's day job)."

For its part, The Sun quotes Lara, whoops, Alison as telling the buying public, "But Alison told The Sun: "I'm single and having fun, I'm not looking for a long-term relationship as most men can't keep up with me. But playing Lara Croft, the sexiest game heroine there is, should get me a few more dates!"

Phwoar, we bet it will... she wouldn't have stood a chance otherwise, eh, readers? Let's hope the game is up to the hype though.
