(DS), Big Beach Sports (Wii)
SoulCalibur IV may have stormed the Charts last week, but its time at the top was short-lived. This week Wii Fit reclaims Number 1 in its 14th week on sale with a jump in sales of 13%.
That leaves SoulCalibur IV, with its 24% drop in sales, at Number 2.
Right below SCIV is Nintendo once again, with Mario Kart Wii spending another week at Number 3. THQ is behind it with another Wii exclusive – Big Beach Sports. The Wii Sports-alike is up one place at Number 4. At Number 5 we have... another Wii exclusive! Wii Play is still knocking about the Top 10, up two places to Number 5.
Activision's Guitar Hero On Tour, the series' DS outing, has been dislodged from Number 6, slipping down a spot to Number 7. Activision isn't likely to be moaning, however, since it's Guitar Hero III that's done the dirty on it, up five places thanks to retailer promotions.
You might have thought them Olympic things that are happening in Commie China would have given Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games a boost. But no, it remains rocksteady at Number 8, although it does see a 10% sales increase. While we're on the subject, the 'proper' game of the Olympics, SEGA's Beijing 2008, that sits at unlucky Number 13.
At the bottom of the Top 10 we've got THQ's Wall-E, which has dropped five places to Number 9. Right below it, with its 78th week in the Top 10, is Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training.
There are absolutely no new entries in the Top 40 this week.
Next week... maybe we'll see a bit of movement thanks to Konami's Hellboy: The Science of Evil and EA's Madden NFL 09. Maybe.
You can see the Top 10 below (last week's positions are in brackets). The Top 40 in full is here.
