Left 4 Dead, Valve and Turtle Rock's upcoming survival horror release, has been nudged back by a few weeks. Exactly how far back depends on who you ask - Valve seems a little confused on the subject.

Speaking in an interview Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve, confirmed "Left 4 Dead is going to be released on the tenth anniversary of Half Life, our first game, so that will be on November 20th, the third week in November."

Since then, Valve's marketing director, Doug Lombardi, has stated that the game will be out, "Nov 18 in the states. Nov 21 in Europe (US retailers do "new release Tues" and the EU does that on Friday)." We're going with Doug on this one, since he's right that neither the US nor Europe typically get new releases on a Thursday, as would be the case with a November 20th release.

The zombie-fest was previously expected on November 4th.
