Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong has made an official announcement confirming that it will be releasing PlayStation Home this autumn in the region. Its territories encompass Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.

Further to that the company has stated that it will kick off closed beta testing for the service in mid-September. The official website for Home in beta is now live and more details on the beta will be available there tomorrow.

SPOnG is encouraged by this announcement. If Sony feels it can make an official announcement, albeit for another region, Home is obviously coming along nicely. It was announced back in April that Home would be delayed until Autumn, but there were warning signs a few weeks ago suggesting that the service might not even make it out in that time frame.

If you fall into the region of Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, you can keep an eye out for updates here.
