Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise Community Site Live

Plus: scary VP fans alert!

2 Sept 2008

Rare has put live its community site for Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise ahead of the game's launch this Friday.

On the site, players will be able to share with the world photos of their gardens and their Piñata Vision cards, which can be used with the Xbox Live Vision Camera to interact with the game.

Elsewhere in the world of Viva Piñata Rare has sent a video SPOnG's way that, frankly, terrifies us. Remember that Halo 3 advert spoof we showed you a month ago? This is the 'making of'. This is just how much effort Viva Piñata fans will go to in the name of the game. Scary stuff.

Rare has also sent word of a Piñata treasure hunt over on Xbox.com this Friday. The blurb runs as follows:

Viva Piñata is back but not everything in the garden is rosy – Professor Pester and his band of Ruffians are determined to cause Trouble in Paradise! To celebrate the launch of Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise Xbox.com is holding a huge Piñata Hunt so that you can unlock exclusive Piñatas featuring unique colour schemes and accessories.

“All you need to do is put on your best Piñata-hunting hat, head to www.Xbox.com, scour the site for Piñata eggs and click on every one you find! By using your Xbox LIVE Vision Camera and the amazing Piñata Vision feature in Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise you can put the Piñata straight into your garden! Happy hunting!”

Here's the video. Enjoy! You can find out more about the game over on SPOnG's dedicated game page.

I have to say RARE are probably the worst aquisition any company could of had I think Microsoft are only holding onto RARE to spite Nintendo and Microsoft know that Nintendo will want to grab RARE back. I personally think and feel given the type of games RARE are making they would be best suited for the Nintendo Wii and DS Lite as last gen and this gen they still have not made an amazing game.

I seriously hope RARE get their act together and can bring out Perfect Dark Zero the way it was meant to be and hopefully an even better Kameo.
