Noel Gallagher: Guitar Hero Beats Goblin Laser Sex

Oasis front man speaks out

3 Sept 2008

Noel Gallagher must be mellowing in his old age. He has almost nice things to say about Guitar Hero and it turns out he thinks kids being buggered by goblins with lasers is a bad thing.

Speaking about Guitar Hero and Rock Band he said, "If it puts little plastic guitars into kids' hands and kind of fires their imaginations, I think that's a good thing. It's harmless fun, innit?"

He then went on to add, "I'd rather that genre of video games than somebody getting their fucking head chopped off with a samurai sword while getting fucked by a goblin up the arse with a laser." Such a delicate turn of phrase.

Noel seems a bit wary about games, when all's said and done. Talking about knife crime back in July, Gallagher uttered, "People say it's through violent video games and I guess that's got something to do with it.

"If kids are sitting up all night smoking super skunk [cannabis] and they come so desensitised to crime because they're playing these video games, it's really, really scary."

"These video games?" Mark SPOnG reckons Gallagher'd get on with his Grandma just fine.

Noel Gallagher just lost about 800 million cool points! still what do you expect from someone who wishes they were in the Beatles and dresses like its 1963 mingled with 1999?
