Midnight Pool... well, it's a pool game. Players make their way across America, hitting the bars and meeting the likes of country music star Travis to Alison the biologist and John the sheriff. There are tutorials. There are trick shots. For some reason, there are three sets of rules. It costs 800 Wii Points. 'Nuff said.
Next up, we have PLÄTTCHEN – twist ’n’ paint, a puzzle shooter. SPOnG's tried to make sense of the game, but it just sounds balmy. Here's what Nintendo wants you to know - “Guard the birth of ZeLeLi and free them from the menace of the evil black Shadow Plättchen. Play as one of the countless FantasyMEs and fight as an astronaut, butterfly, car, football and many more against sharks, cowboys, asteroids and skulls in the numerous fabulous Fantasy Worlds. Use items and multipliers in combos to fight yourself onto the top of the high scores and find the perfect way to solve a level!”
It's claimed there are 100 hours of game-play, spread over 300 levels and three different game modes, to be had. Up to eight players can get involved simultaneously. This lot will set you back 1,500 Wii Points.
Today also marks the return of ye olde faithful Bomberman in the form of Bomberman Blast! from HudsonSoft. It does what Bomberman does, coming with an 8-player online mode, Mii support, online rankings and the option to activate items by waggling your Wii Remote around like a maniac. You can grab it for 1000 Wii Points.
