LittleBigPlanet Goes Gold Plus Freebie News

Freebies to download at launch

Sony and Media Molecule have announced that LittleBigPlanet has gone all pretty and gold.

Sony also detailed plans for downloadable content that will be available around launch. You'll be able to get Sackboy a wee Spaceman costume because... you know, the game's launching. Also up for grabs will be a 'Week One' T-shirt to show you were in on the whole thing from the beginning.

Also presented was the global release schedule, which runs as follows.

October 21st North America & Latin America
October 22nd Europe, Australia & New Zealand
October 24th UK & Ireland

We're informed that Sony's aiming for release on the 27th in Japan, but this remains unconfirmed. SPOnG also understands that the LittleBigPlanet hardware bundle will hit the UK on the 31st, with the rest of Europe getting it on the 29th, although this also remains unconfirmed.

That spaceman costume was one of the enries in the LBP design a sackboy contest in the US, any idea SPOnG if that was a winning entry? or is it a case of LP devs nicking good ideas?
