The Xbox 360 has, once again, topped PS3 sales figures in Japan.

Japanese retail statistics adder-upper organisation, MediaCreate, stats for the period running from September 15th - 21st show that the Xbox 360 grabbed 13,777 sales, while the PS3 sat behind it at 8,156.

That's a sales drop from last week for both platforms with the 360 falling from 28,188 or 28,681; and PS3 falling from 8,053 or 8,050 depending on whether you believe MediaCreate or Enterbrain' figures.

The Wii, however, beat both. It notched up 29,921 sales.
