The exact date has not been confirmed, but expect it some time in February.
Because the PS3 version will be 14 months late to the party (in Europe, at least) it will have a smattering of goodies not included in the 360 version. New quests, battles, events and multiple endings have been chucked in on the story front. The characters Crescendo and Serenade have also been included, along with new costumes. On top of that, more music from Frederic Chopin has been put in there for your aural delight.
The Xbox 360 version was released in the UK in October last year, while the PS3 version hit in Japan last month and is scheduled for North America in a couple of weeks.
Eternal Sonata, if you haven't come across it before, tells the story of Chopin on his deathbed as he drifts between this life and the next. For more, check out SPOnG's dedicated game page.

downloaded the demo off the US store, and I can't wait for it to be released, my mate says the ending is a let down so I guess it's a good job they added alternate endings

Definently something for PS3 owners to look forward to unless they also on an Xbox 360 on which they may have already played it but given the fact it has many extras to prove it to be a worthy purchase I am sure those that have both machines may also purchase it again for the PS3 just for the extras who knows.
