Metal Gear Online Expansion Details Dished Up

Meme expansion coming "later this year"

7 Oct 2008

Konami has dished up a few details on the upcoming second expansion pack for Metal Gear Online, which is set for release later this year through the MGO shop. The pack will feature new maps, characters, skills, a tournament lobby and "more". The characters in question will be Liquid Ocelot and Mei Ling. As for the maps, here's what Konami wants you to know:

"- Silo Sunset - One of the most popular stages in the handheld Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops has been renewed for the world of Metal Gear Online.

"- Forest Firefight - Taken from Metal Gear Solid 3, this dense jungle gives players a new tense atmosphere with plenty of camouflage options.

"- Winter Warehouse - An original stage created for Metal Gear Online, players will have to search for suitable cover, in and around, this dilapidated factory blanketed in snow."

New rules and settings will be released, but these will be available regardless of whether or not you shell out for the expansion. There will also be new bits and bobs with which to adorn your character, because it's important to look pretty when you're killing.

The last fresh Metal Gear Online content took the form of the Gene Expansion back in July.
