Gears of War 2 is one step closer to release. Epic's next shooter has now gone gold. Gold! Which makes it good and ready for its release on November 7th, just under a month from now.

“After two years of pouring our heart and passion into Gears of War 2, the team is immensely happy with what we’ve created”, uttered Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski. "This is Epic’s best work yet, and we can’t wait to see the response from fans and newcomers to the series alike.”

If 28 days seems like too long to wait, the Gears of War comic from DC hit the UK yesterday, so you can get yourself a short-term fix from your nearest comic shop.
