Microsoft has confirmed that the 'New Xbox Experience', which will provide a more casual gamer-friendly look to the console's interface, won't fit on all consoles. The company plans to offer some kind of solution, but isn't stating what yet.

The company's online mascot, Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb, stated, "The new Xbox experience will require 128MB of free space. A hard drive is recommended for the optimal experience, to take advantage of some new features, and to be able to enjoy the great movies, TV shows and games available on Xbox LIVE.

"While we expect the majority of consumers to download the New Xbox Experience without a problem, a small percentage of Xbox 360 owners do not have enough memory to accommodate the update. To help ensure all Xbox LIVE members are able to download the New Xbox Experience and enjoy its new features, Microsoft will be offering storage solutions to the Xbox LIVE community. Needless to say, if the mysterious "offering" winds up costing cold hard cash (or warm, soft Microsoft Points) there are likely to be some unhappy 360 owners out there after having to pay for something their fellow gamers get for free.

Microsoft revealed last week that the 'New Xbox Experience', which will offer avatars and an overhauled dashboard, will be out on November 19th.
