The Beatles (a Quarrymen side project) you either love them or you are railroaded out of the country covered in tar and feathers... but until recently at least you could escape them by playing a video game. This is no longer the case now the band's company, Apple Corps (geddit?) has signed terms with Viacoms' MTV to license their tunes to Rock Band.

According to The Wall Street Journal, "The Beatles have licensed songs to MTV Networks' Rock Band videogame series, according to several people familiar with the matter, a coup for the Viacom Inc. unit in its battle with rival Activision Blizzard Inc. for supremacy in the world of rock-and-roll videogames".

This deal sees the cheeky Scousers' music hitting gaming before it hits Apple's (geddit?) iTunes store. No details of which of the legendary mop-tops' songs will appear on Rock Band. So, here is our guess list.

1) While My Guitar Hero Gently Weeps.

2) I'm Happy Just To Dance (Dance) With You.

3) Here, There and (bloody well) Everywhere.

4) That's quite enough...
