Xbox Arcade Memory Confirms Jasper?
News from late in November that Jasper boards for the Xbox 360 would be out and about and available to the public has had another confirming nod from Microsoft. This comes in the form of an admission that the Wii-competing Xbox 360 Arcade will be getting 256Mb of onboard memory. Just enough to deal with the New Xbox Experience.

Microsoft has told Joystiq's Xbox360fanboy site, "We can confirm that we are moving to internal memory for the Xbox 360 Arcade. The physical internal memory is the same size as the previous external memory units - 256Mb."

Good to see this confirmed.

I agree, its a motherboard revision however from what I read a while ago where there are more revisions along the way there was supposed to be more changes in fact the inclusion of a 256mb memory was not one of these changes strange.

I was hoping for a GPU size reduction as I keep getting confused whether the Falcon was the CPU GPU size reduction.

256mb?? And I thought Wii was bad.

Surely, 512mb to a 1gb would be better? Guess it does present Arcade gamers with the better option of picking up a 20gb or 60gb hard drive.
