Call of Duty Changes Tactics
New war not same as old war
Posted 4 Dec 2008

Activision Blizzard has announced some new thinking behind the Call of Duty series at a recent event held in New York by Microsoft advertising wing, Massive Inc.
Rather than announcing a new Call of Duty with added tag such as Tribal Fighting or VI it is apparently bringing out a new Modern Warfare version with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 due for release in the autumn of 2009.
We would have to assume that Infinity Ward is developing this title, enabling Treyarch to continue with the World War II-based COD games, although this has not been confirmed.
So, now we have two strands of COD with Modern and Not-So-Modern. Imagine the fanboy fun with that.
