Best Buy: Europe Here We Come!
One door closes another one starts spinning
Posted 22 Dec 2008

A rather scary alien fellow from Best Buy
With Woolworths set to shut up shop in January - with the cost of 27,000 jobs in the worst case - things are looking bleak for UK retail.
Step up Best Buy. According to MCV, "US retail superpower Best Buy has confirmed to MCV that it is looking to recruit far and wide as the firm builds its business in the UK and Europe."
The company has already teamed up with Carphone Warehouse in the UK and will be using Carphone's London office to kick of its UK operation in January. Along with the new recruitment drive, it's understood that three "prominent members of the UK trade" have already been recruited.
Do you have any experience as a customer or employee of Best Buy? Tell us Brits about it in the Forum... and have a great day.

Great news in these ever bleak times. Would be nice to have some competition for GAME and Gamestation at last.
I'll keep an eye out for them. On question beckons though, will they too be doing pre-owned games, (the apparent bane of the industry....cough cough bs...)? Let's hope so.

I'm gonna look out for a branch with a large African manager, and a nearby froghurt shop with an insanely hot server who is frequently not there... then I'm gonna hang out there and wait fo the espionage based capers to commence.
