The Top 20 games on Xbox Live for 2008 are in from Microsoft, providing further evidence (just in case any was needed) that Halo rules Xbox. The top entry on the list shows that Xbox 360 owners were still spending their time glued to a controller in front of Halo 3.

Other unsurprising entrants in the list include CoD4, GTA IV and Gears 2.

Also provided was a list of the most bought titles on the Xbox Live Marketplace, with Castle Crashers, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved and Braid topping the list.

Just in case you care, Microsoft also provided the top 20 original Xbox titles on Live. All three lists are provided in full below.
