It's great that everybody had such great 2008. The PS3's was so great that, "Early internal data points to an increase of more than 130 percent of PS3 hardware sales for the holiday season (since Black Friday) and we're also seeing a growth of nearly 40 percent in total PS3 hardware sales for the calendar year. We remain confident this momentum will continue into the new year", said Jackson.
Actual North American sales figures from NPD tell us the following for November.
PS3 sales fell 18.8% year-on-year: 466,000 to 378,000.
Wii sales rose 108%: 981,000 to 2.04 million
Xbox 360 sales rose 8.6 percent: 770,000 to 836,000.

Even Microsoft are practically telling Sony that their console is too expensive! lol When they come out and say that they expect a price drop soon, and that they are suprised its not happened already, surely someone at Sony must be listening. I think this year in general will be make or break for PS3. I'm sorry, but Sony are 3rd and falling behind, and i'm really expecting Sony to make the PS4 like Nintendo have done with the Wii. That being not alter the graphical capabilities of the current console and stick it in a new box.
