If you're reading this in the West, don't expect to see Final Fantasy XIII inside 2009.
Yoichi Wada, president of Square Enix, has been speaking to Reuters. The news agency reports, "Overseas launches of the latest "Final Fantasy" game will come in the business year from April 2010 or later, Wada said."
The words "or later" actually leave the possibility open that we won't even see it inside 2010.
Japan, however, will have the game before the end of 2009, according to Wada. Guess it won't be one of those simultaneous global releases Square's looking to push.
Wada also spoke in reference to acquisitions, stating, "Talks are going on with various companies at home as well as abroad." Square has reportedly recently shown an interest in Eidos, which has just announced that it has been approached with a potential buyout.

You guys n' gals at Square Enix, you really love yanking our chains. For god sake, how long do you want to spend on this damn game. I'm sure you don't give you other games that much service.
So much banking on the PS3, instead of getting the damn game out. The real shame is, had they begun development on 360, it might actually be ready sooner.
SO yeah, Square. Good luck with your space year, FFXIII mouth to mouth, for the PS3 monolith. I doubt it will make any difference, because its not going to save PS3, its still last and a failure (calm yourselves now fanboys, before you go off on one).
Never mind, I still got Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 (yes, but I still hate you Square) to pluck through.

Joji, maybe you missed the part where they said it will be out this year in Japan, who I might add get it exclusively for the PS3 so your bitching I'm sorry to say is void

I'm sorry, Daz. I'm a level headed, reasonable guy, but I reserve my right to bitch out sometimes. 2010, might as well be 2020.
Cut your crap and show us some gameplay footage, Square.

I'm not saying you don't, though for a level headed guy how 1 year might as well be 11 years I'll never know (guess i must be insane or somat).
Plus our wait May prove beneficial in the end with extras like VII's ruby and emerald weapons or X's Dark Aeons
