Electronic Arts has announced four new pieces of Spore action - one of which will appear on Nintendo's Wii.

Spore Hero is "an all-new adventure game focusing on creativity and evolution that was built from the ground up for the unique controls for Wii".

Ninty fans will also get Spore Hero Arena for Nintendo DS. This enables "players to create fully-3D Spore creatures and take them into battle with an array of other creatures across the galaxy."

Both games are due for release in the Autumn.

PC and Mac Spore players - the core Spore base - will also be getting the Spore Galactic Adventures expansion pack. This enables "players to beam down to planets, play mission-based adventures and even create their own customized adventures for the first time." It includes extras such as an Energy Blade, a Stunning Charm and a Jump Jet and more. New character traits are also to be delivered, these include a Warrior and a Bard.

Finally, Spore Creature Keeper, a stand-alone PC game aimed at youngsters. Think of this in the same way as you would the Tamagotchi. The youth will become addicted to the gamingness by "nurturing, training and playing with their own personally-created creature".

Let's hope that the evolutionary patterns in these versions are a little more believable than the original.
