Nintendo UK: A DSi for Every Household
It's conceivable says enthusiastic top man.

Guess who the DSi is aimed at?

According to Nintendo's general manager in the UK, David Yarnton "There are 21m households in the UK – each one could conceivably have a DS. Or even more than one DS.
"That doesn’t mean that we’ll sell multiple units into every family and sell over 60m in the UK alone – we don’t think that will happen - but the numbers are still very buoyant. This is uncharted territory for the games industry as far as we are concerned."
We're not entirely sure why selling a handheld games console into a market that's already quite accustomed to handheld games consoles is "uncharted territory", so we'll put that down to marketing over-enthusiasm and move on.

Nintedo is going too far, a Dsi in every houshold? Unlikly, the way the current economic crisis is people will soon be struggling to feed themselves I thing playing the latest incarnation of Pokemon or Mario will be quite low on their list of priorities. Besides Nitendo sucks! Buy X-box loosers!

while i agree the economic situation is getting worse, it can only spell good things for the games industry regarding sales, as it will the movie studios etc, people cant afford to go out, i mean a meal for two and wo tickets for the cinema is at least £50.00, so people will find themselfs investing in home based entertainment, a game can last longer than one night out and a couple of movies and a few bags of popcorn movie can do a few nights in,
I agree Nitendo sucks, although Nintendo on the other hand.
