He then goes on to say something very interesting indeed over on the US PlayStation blog:
"To offer you some insight into the technology behind this game, we will release a playable version of this in-engine ad vignette on the PlayStation Network coming in March. You’ll be able to control the camera and hear director commentary on how the production was completed using only the game’s technology. The project codename is “Killzone in 4-D” – hope you can check it out."
We're intrigued to say the least.
There's also a trailer to be seen:

Hi SuperSaiyan4..... Again
Fanboy much lately? Let the game get released before you start waving your arms about like a hairless baboon.
I can sum up the hype easily - Attention to Detail.
The details levels are extreme and unheard of, it shows love from the developers and skill of the programmers.
Also why dont YOU try putting a high rez image of Gears 1 next to KZ2 and then follow that by perscription glasses.
Then not only do you notice a substantial difference, but also one is 3rd person and the other another is 1st person :/ I will let you figure out the rest though i understand that make take some time.

Can you compare the graphics of GOW with KZ2? Apart from lots of grey and buckets of blood, what have they got in common? GOW is a future gothic cartoon spectacular. Looking at the KZ2 demo, they’ve gone for something that looks like bits of the Clyde, but with more Nazis and less knife crime. KZ2 strength is in the detail and the movement. GOW’s is scale and spectacle.
In short, KZ2 is high on fidelity but low on imagination (in the demo atleast).

I felt the same during the first few areas, but variegation does increase as you progress.5/7
o please dont compare KZ2 to fear 2.
flame bait KZ2 all you want your just jelious.
but seriously fear was a much bigger graphical leap than fear 2.
uncharted looks better than fear 2 and its almost 3 years older

F.E.A.R was a much bigger graphical leap than F.E.A.R 2??? I think you got that wrong.
F.E.A.R 2 isn't really amazingly good with its visuals but it is very enjoyable to play more so than from what the KZ2 demo gave me.
I am still getting KZ2 this Friday along with the official PS3 headset.

Uh-oh. 360 Fanboy alert:
'"At the risk of stating the obvious – the Killzone 2 engine is phenomenally powerful."
The biggest pile of bullshit I have read in the history of gaming.
The game does nothing new, it does NOT have mind blowing graphics and there is nothing about this game that is worth the reviews it has been getting.
A mate of mine that is into his games on a very serious level who also has both consoles can not also fathom for the life of him the same case on what I am raising.
Put up a high res image of Gears 1 and KZ2 side by side and you will see why.
F.E.A.R 2 does things that KZ2 does not even do - look at the environment destruction, also the AI seems a bit better too. '
You haven't actually played killzone have you. You cannot judge anything through a screenshot, plus gears of war is 3rd person, so the textures can get away with being a lower res, whilst killzone is 1st person. It also has a much higher level of interactivity.
