Nintendo Won't Deny Zelda: Spirit Tracks to be 'DSi Enhanced'
Reggie Fils-Aime hints

Nintendo of America's president, Reggie Fils-Aime, has refused to deny that the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will have DSi-specific features.
In a discussion about whether we should expect upcoming games to make specific use of the DSi's new hardware features, MTV Multiplayer asked "Zelda? DSi-enhanced?" The answer was simply, "Wouldnt that be nice?"
In an industry that spend 98% of its messaging "refusing to confirm or deny" and "not commenting on rumour or speculation", this statement (although plausibly deniable) is certainly not a denial.
Discussing time he spent with the game, Fils-Aime said, "It takes some of the things I liked about Phantom Hourglass to the next level. Example: I thought tracking the path of the boomerang was nice in Phantom Hourglass. But the way you use [the stylus] to solve puzzles with Spirit Tracks is really provocative. I think the Zelda fan will really enjoy it You do more in tracking and outlining. We showed it in the trailer. You move (an extra) character to a spot in order to unlock puzzles."
You can see that trailer here on SPOnG.
The DSi has new features such as two cameras and audio editing. Fils-Aime said he expects developers will want to make sure they cater to the DS's installed audience while providing extra content that makes use of the DSi's added functionality.
The DSi launches tomorrow. Spirit Tracks is expected later this year.
