Harmonix and Think Services, the organiser of GDC, appear to have accidentally confirmed the existence of LEGO Rock Band.

A slide from the GDC presentation by Harmonix senior designer, Dan Teasdale, apparently confirms that the game will be released this year, between Rock Band Unplugged for PSP and The Beatles: Rock Band.

You might be wondering how this got overlooked when Teasdale was actually making the presentation ('Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap: Design Lessons Learned From Rock Band') back on March 27th. Thing is, this slide didn't actually appear in the session. Teasdale tells us on his blog, "it looks like Think Services put up a version of my slides that was sent for speech approval rather than the version that I actually showed at GDC."

So, it looks like Harmonix had an announcement planned prior to Teasdale's talk, but changed its mind.

The slide itself, as you can see, doesn't tell us a vast amount the game. Earlier rumours, however, suggest something that might not surprise you - Traveller's Tales, the studio behind the likes of LEGO Batman and LEGO Indiana Jones, is allegedly working on the title.

So, do we need LEGO Rock Band in the world? Let us know in the forum.
