The death of Duke Nukem Forever is stil reverberating and creating conspiracies across the video games ether. Apogee and Deep Silver, however, are still ploughing the Duke's furrow.

They've opened auditions for the next live action Nukem as follows:

"Fans can do just about whatever they want to demonstrate why they should be the next Duke Nukem. Their performance will be judged by a panel of Duke Experts, including some of Duke's creators. The Experts will combine all entries from all over the United States and will then narrow it down to a lucky few. The judges will then make their decision and the winner will be announced.

"The winner will get to travel around the world representing Deep Silver and Apogee Software, LLC as the new 'official Duke Nukem'...and they'll get paid to do it!"

I think Duke Nukem would be more appreciated if the cliched character that he is went through some change.

Picture it, he's been in development limbo for a decade, therefore his character should display a washed up has been fallen hero, with grown hair and ring rust. As you play through the game, he could become what he once was, but perhaps better in design (no more Arnie cliches, but molded into a character that is truly different.
