Nintendo is getting together with undefeated former world boxing champion Joe Calzaghe to shift copies of Punch-Out!! on the Wii.

Sadly, this appears to mean that Calzaghe's has to make one mental claim... Either Joe or a marketing genuis writing something on his behalf... and we really hope it wasn't Joe. There's hype that doesn't treat consumers like idiots, and then there's this: "Punch-Out!! is great fun and it felt like I was back in the boxing ring."

Come on Joe! It's a Wii game. We know it's fun, but just like being in the ring, Bernard Hopkins must seriously have been a pussy.

Joe (or a Joe-a-like) continues in a cutesier and more Wii-like manner

"I was an undefeated former world boxing champion before I met my son (Joe junior) on Punch-Out!! He's the new undefeated Punch-Out!! champion now in our family." Awwww...

Calzaghe will be appearing in ads for the game Joe Jr and turning up at HMV’s flagship Oxford Street store at 11:30 on May 24th, a couple of days after the game's release.
