Both downloadable episodes of the Watchmen game, released initially over Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, are set for a disc-based retail release.

The somewhat unshocking news was confirmed to 1up by Deadline Games director Søren Lund at the Nordic Game Conference.

There's no hard release date as yet, but it's expected that the game will arrive alongside the DVD/Blu-ray release of the movie - that's July 27th in the UK. Failing that, Lund said, it should be out within two weeks of the film.

Warner Brothers is expected to make its official announcement soon.
