Max Payne has apparently taken the critical mauling of his first film outing quite badly. The cover for the latest Game Informer, which will carry a Max Payne 3 preview, shows him bald, beardy and definitely not on top of keeping his wife beater clean.

The image doesn't give much more than that away, but the Deeko site claims to have the details from the issue's guts.

Payne is apparently addicted to pain killers, living in a very destructible Sao Paulo and enjoying scenery that looks reminiscent of the vibrant hues of Uncharted 2. Bullet time will reportedly return, but is somehow more visceral and ultra-violent. A cover system will also (naturally, nowadays) have a part to play, as will day and night cycles.

It all sounds plausible, but remains unconfirmed.
