Great New Game Charts: 35 Million Played Assassin's Creed
The brave new world of home-grown statistics

This is according to Patrice Désilets, creative director of the game. How does he know? "We recalculated, my producer and I, that roughly between 30 to 35 million people played Assassin's Creed 1".
"You know, if you count all the rentals, the second-hands. Not all the people bought it. They played it on PC", he went on.*
He does not, alas, go into exactly what exotic maths he used to reach that figure. It opens up the possibility for lots of fun new statistics and charts, however. SPOnG, for its part, has calculated that Gears of War 2 is the most sniffed game of 2008; while Sonic the Hedgehog's first outing is the least toasted and covered in Marmite game of all time.
What new charts can you come up with readers? Remember these have to be based on "recalculations" of you and a friend, colleague, lover or ex-lover. Passing strangers will not count.

we've recalculated that only 180,000 people own a 360, the rest are stupid people buying another because it broke instead of getting it fixed (some people just don't know what warranty is).

Only 85 people were sober enough to play Rock Band with any degree of success.
