The latest Nielsen ratings are in for which console is played most in the USA. And with a 21.6% share of 'all gaming minutes' in April, the winner is the PlayStation 2.

Not really a huge surprise that given the sheer number of the beasts still in the wild and still selling, especially given the recent $100 price cut.

Next in the list of most-played come:

Xbox 360 with 21.1%.
Wii with 17.6%.
PS3 with 10.5%.
Xbox with 6.7%.
GameCube with 2.6%.

Lots of fodder for both Sony and Microsoft fancamps there then.
