Is it is possible to have too many screens of Kumar (the Comedy Bear, as he's lovingly known in the SPOnG office)? Apparently, yes it is.

This would be why the new shots that Namco has made available contain no such image. Instead we've got Lars Alexandersson, Alisa Bosconovich, Marshall Law, Yoshimitsu (Booo!), and Eddy Gordo displaying themselves for you.
