We're all aware that fanboys across the Internet had been 100% certain that this update would bring:
- In-game video chat.
- Cross-game chat.
- Cross-platform chat.
- Full-body motion control using someone else's body.
- PlayStation Home with things to do in it.
What it does actually contain are, "The playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 format software has been improved", according to the PlayStation Blog.

What exactly is "playback" of PS3 software? Can't be video, because they're surely say BluRay or DVD, so is this referring loading games, running code, playing in-game video?

Probably PSone emulation related. Could be some new games coming up.

Not really a let down if they didn't even say anything really big was planned I didn't even know an update was coming up anytime soon. Either way stability for software is always welcome rather get an update like this then have something freeze on me while I'm using it.
